As I photographed this shoot as the last of 2010 on New Year's Eve in Washington, DC, I got some spectacular shots of the National Christmas Tree, smaller state trees, Nativity Scene, nearby Yule Log, the trains around the National Christmas Tree, and all in relation to The White House and The Washington Monument. There are also other lights that were up for the Holiday Season on the walk to the National Christmas Tree, that I photographed. Enjoy these last photos of mine for 2010!
These photos are a few of my favorites from my travels in 2010 and evoke the mood of the beaches I went to so well that I can feel as if I am back there again as soon as I look at the photos. As the sun set, I walked along the shore capturing photo after photo of my fondest memories of a peaceful time and feeling. After darkness had fallen, I went out to get a bite to eat and returned to a different beach nearby and listened to the waves gently crashing in the distance as I sat and stared at the stars above me. It was a perfect, clear night to find constellations. Miles from the city, the stars shone so bright, it was impossible not to see them. I would like to make this a regular summer getaway to capture tranquil memories at a different beach each year. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do and that you can imagine the salt in the sea and the sand in the air while you look at these photos of the ocean and sunset.

Here are some photos of the decor from a wedding I photographed recently. The colors are amazingly beautiful at such events and add to the general mood of excitement and anticipation as the bride enters and the music plays. The vibrant colors create the perfect scene for photo-taking and you can see the results below!

Forces in Nature shows the elements in nature of growth, variety of plants and blossoms, power of water, strength of solid foundations, and the tranquil beauty of horizons. The photos are from climates in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia regions, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas. Viewers will be dazzled with photographic art of some of her best artistic pieces including a collection of seashores, blossoms, plants, rock formations, peaks, horizons, and waterscapes.
The Art Exhibit is from Friday November 12, 2010 - Wednesday January 5, 2011. The Opening Reception is on Sunday November 21, 2010 from 5:30pm - 7pm.
The Greenbelt Arts Center is located in Greenbelt, MD.
I have participated in my debut solo Art Exhibit that showed for two months. Prior to this I had participated in one group show of photographic art work. This debut solo Art Exhibit was at the New Deal Cafe in Greenbelt, MD from September 7, 2010 to October 31, 2010. SPLENDOR OF NATURAL VISTAS featured a dazzling collection of landscapes and other Nature Photography from New Mexico, Colorado, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. There were nine total pieces in the exhibit. The event was advertised in The Washington PostGoing Out Guide for Prince George's County and Southern MarylandSept. 23-29, Greenbelt News Review VOL. 73, No. 44 SEPTEMBER 23, 2010, and New Deal Cafe website for Art on the Walls September 2010 and calendar listing under Sept 26 (2010). The articles are included in the album accessible via the included web link below.
The opening reception was held on September 26, 2010 from 7pm - 9pm and a Closing Reception on October 24, 2010 from 7pm - 9pm. The exhibit was a great success in getting exposure in the art community to local artists, the community, and getting noticed for hosting an event related to arts in the community. The local city council's member and Mayor Pro-tem came to the Closing Reception.
The New Deal Cafe Arts Program is sponsored by Friends of New Deal Cafe Arts (FONDCA).
